My Announcements
So it's been a little bit of awhile since the last blog, but we're back!  Here's an update on a few things that have been going on.

James Earl Jones will receive the Guild’s most prestigious accolade—the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment. Jones will be presented the Award, given annually to an actor who fosters the “finest ideals of the acting profession.”

Nominations will be announces live on TNT and webcast on http://www.tnt.tv and http://www.tbs.com Thursday, Dec 18, 2008 @ 9am ET/6am PT.  “ER” star Angela Bassett, whose political thriller “Nothing But the Truth” premieres December 19, and Eric McCormack, an Actor® recipient for “Will & Grace” and star of the new TNT series “Trust Me,” which premieres January 26, will join Screen Actors Guild President Alan Rosenberg to announce the nominees.

There will also be 3 great online auctions this year at http://www.sagawards.org/auction.  The Holiday Auction starts December 12 for 10 days and we've got tons of great stuff including Tickets to the SAG Awards and after party! Other great items include red carpet bleacher seats, a private SAG Awards dinner party, a private cooking lesson with Awards Chef Alan Jackson, TV and movie autographed studio posters, SAG Awards memorabilia some cool gift bags. 

The second auction will start January 2 and will sell Red Carpet bleacher seats only. There will be 15 sets of 2 and 15 sets of 4. So be sure to stay on top of this auction series to get your seats!

The third and final auction, the Ceremony Auction, will start January 23 for 10 days and will feature one of a kind items from our nominated TV shows and movies and individual nominated actors. Stay tuned for the nomination announcements on Dec 18 to see who will be involved.

See if your favorites made the list when the nominees for the 15th Annual SAG Awards are announced on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 6am PST/9am EST on TNT!

The star-studded event itself will be held Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 8pm ET/PT, 7pm CT, 6pm MT at the famous Shrine Auditorium and will be broadcast simultaneously on both TNT and TBS networks. This year, we will be honoring James Earl Jones with the 45th Annual Life Achievement Award. Don't miss it!
